If Metallica lost the case against napster for copyright infringement, then why is Napster charging money now?
Hi! See, my problem is that I can't find the connection between how Metallica lost the case and how Napster now charges money per download ( and other plans). I really want proof though. Please don't give me opinions!
Metallica's civil suit has nothing to do with it. It is illegal to download free copyrited material (music or otherwise) without permission of the copyright holder. Napster is following the law by charging for the copyrighted downloads.
If you want the text of the laws, you need to google search riaa, as well as 'copyright laws'.
Again, Metallica's loss of their civil suit really has nothing to do with it other than bringing out awareness.
