What wall electricity outlet converter would be best to use for travel in Europe in multiple countries?
I will be traveling through many different countries in Europe and need a wall converter to be able to use my Macintosh and Del Computers. What's the best option?
For laprops, you'll only need a plug converter. The power block for the computer should already accept both the European and US voltages. Read the label. If it says something like Input: 100 - 240 Vac 50/60 Hz, then you do not need a voltage converter. Most of Europe uses a plug converter like this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3529
If you're going to the UK, you need one like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/US-UK-Plug-Travel-Adaptor/dp/B0006OFKNC
There are lots of different models at different prices. You can find things like this at Radioshack, Wallmart, Target, Brookstones, luggage stores, airport shops, or at shops here in Europe. I have laptops and computers that I brought with me from the US that I use at home, in the office here in Italy and in various countries around Europe and have never needed more than the plug adapter. What I use are the cheaper versions rather than the bulky universal adaptors - they're easier to carry around.
